Talks Between AmaZulu and Marumo Gallants has hit a snag over the transfer of Phillip Ndlondlo, the Siya crew can reveal.
Usuthu have been in advanced discussions with Gallants over a possible deal for the 26-year-old attacker, with the KZN outfit understood to have already agreed personal terms with the player.
Ndlondlo has been one of the standout players and is reported to have been a target of both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates; however, Gallants have been adamant in holding onto the pint-sized playmaker.
Now, according to high-level sources, despite AmaZulu understood to have won the race for the player, negotiations between the two clubs over a deal have reached an impasse.
According to insiders, AmaZulu have been put off by Gallants' asking price, although the exact figure has not been disclosed.
Gallants have already lost one of their midfielders in Miguel Timm to Orlando Pirates on a free transfer, and would not part ways with Ndlondlo if the price was not right.
According to information reaching the crew's desk Ndlondlo's deal with Gallants is expected to come to an end in 2023, meaning that the club run the risk of losing the player on a free transfer next year.
