Agent Mike Makaab has revealed one thing Rivaldo Coetzee has asked for as he gets closer to making a comeback.
Coetzee remains a free agent after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns a few months ago, but he is working his way back to ensure he is in good condition to sign for a club interested his in services.

According to his agent Mike Makaab, Coetzee wants to be assessed by clubs first before they make an offer for his services. That way, clubs will be able to see what condition he is in and then make a sound decision on whether or not to sign him.
In recent times, Coetzee has been linked with Tanzanian outfit Simba SC, as well as Golden Arrows. There has been no concrete offers, though.
"Rivaldo (Coetzee) is fine. He is now within a couple of days of being ready to be reintegrated, so we can start looking at opportunities for him," Makaab said to Soccer Laduma.
"By his choice, he asked us not to do anything until he was ready and it makes sense because how do you negotiate? And he doesn't want a contract until he goes to a football club because clubs are going to be sceptical and wonder is he fit or not. So, it means we want to take him to clubs so that they can have a look at him and then we will take it from there in terms of negotiating a deal. And he is comfortable to do that. He wants to do that, otherwise how do you value him?"

At 28, Coetzee still has a few years left in him and his experience would no doubt be valuable, having played internationally for Bafana Bafana and on the continent with Sundowns.
