Agent Mike Makaab has explained why defender Keegan Allan has left SuperSport United after a short stint with the Tshwane outfit.
Allan joined Matsatsantsa from Moroka Swallows during the January transfer window, as Makaab confirmed that the former Mamelodi Sundowns and University of Pretoria player signed a six month deal until the end of June.

With June coming to an end this weekend, Allan confirmed on social media that he is leaving the club, thanking SuperSport for his time there. The 23-year-old made nine appearances in the DStv Premiership and two in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages, but it was not enough for the club to keep him.
Makaab confirmed to the Siya crew that SuperSport had an option to extend the contract for 12 months, but they did not take it.
"He only had a six month contract. They had an option for a further 12 months. All that happened is that SuperSport took over his Swallows contract, essentially. It's not a matter of not wanting to exercise. It's a matter of looking at their squad size. If you look at their squad, they have a number of central defenders who are already contracted to them, but we have a number of other clubs who have expressed an interest in him, so we are looking at options at the moment," Makaab said to the Siya crew.

The agent confirmed that there has been interest from abroad, so a move outside of the country will not be ruled out at this stage.
"We also have two European clubs that are considering him as well, so we will see how things go."
