More Sundowns Exits Looming?

Mamelodi Sundowns have parted with a few players recently and the Siya crew has been led to believe that there are more who are set to depart either on loan or permanently.

Lesedi Kapinga, Andile Jali, Haashim Domingo, Surprise Ralani, Siphesihle Mkhize, Grant Margeman and Etiosa Ighodaro have left the club, with Cassius Mailula's MLS move pending, and indications are that this list will grow within the next month or so before the transfer window.

The Siya crew understands that one of the players who could be heading out before the window closes is attacker Gift Motupa, who has not managed to hold down a regular spot in the team since joining the club three seasons ago from Bidvest Wits, mostly due to competition and injury.

Motupa has attracted interest from returnees Polokwane City and indications are that Chippa United have also been sniffing around Chloorkop, looking to possibly get him on board after they could not secure Ighodaro on another loan spell from the DStv Premiership champions.

Lyle Lakay has returned from a loan spell from Cape Town City, but an exit before the window closes has not been completely ruled out.

Central defender Katlego Mohamme is seeking game time after struggling to break into the team last season and it's understood that he and his camp are not completely closed off to a move.
