According to Siya sources in the know, DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns are showing an interest in attacker Jaedin Rhodes.
The Cape Town City midfielder, who has just recently turned 20, is fast becoming one of the key players for the Citizens under coach Eric Tinkler and it appears his performances have not gone unnoticed at Chloorkop.
Soccer Laduma has previously reported that Sundowns sporting director Flemming Berg has been given a clear mandate to pursue the country's best talent – no matter the cost.
Rhodes obviously ticks a lot of the boxes to become one of the targets as Sundowns look to beef up the squad going forward to maintain their high standard and level of performances both in the Premier Soccer League and on the continent.
Rhodes was promoted to the City senior team a year ago after impressing in the DStv Diski Challenge, and with the club one of the biggest advocates for players emerging from the academy it was no surprise seeing him making his debut last season.
Tinkler has gone a step further in the current campaign by putting his trust in the youngster – handing him over 20 appearances, which have seen him contribute with four goals and one assist as City chase a reputable position on the log table.
Sundowns, and probably a few other rival clubs, are watching on and Siya sources have been led to believe the Tshwane giants have put Rhodes on their radar and added him to a growing wish list for the near future.
