Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be monitoring a Tanzanian striker, who currently plies his trade at Simba SC under the guidance of South African coach Fadlu Davids.
The 26-year-old has been impressive in both the domestic league and continental competitions, attracting attention from clubs beyond the Tanzanian borders.

According to sources close the player’s representatives in Mzansi, Denis Kibu’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with Chiefs understood to be among several clubs considering a move for the forward.
Stellenbosch FC is also believed to be in the mix, while AmaZulu FC have previously been linked with the player.
“Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring Denis Kibu, who is currently playing for Simba SC. They are not the only club interested – Stellenbosch is also keeping an eye on him,” said a source close to the situation, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Kibu, who joined Simba in 2021, extended his contract in June 2024, with his current deal running until June 2026.
This means any potential suitor will have to negotiate a transfer fee with the Tanzanian giants if they are to land his signature.
With Chiefs looking to bolster their attacking department, especially as part of their rebuild for the upcoming season, Kibu could fit the profile of the type of dynamic and hard-working forward the Soweto club is targeting.

Stellenbosch, known for scouting rising talent across the continent, may also see Kibu as a player who can contribute significantly in their push for continued Top Eight finishes and participation in continental competitions.
Although nothing has been finalised, the player’s name is expected to feature prominently in transfer speculation over the coming weeks.
