With Khama Billiat possibly heading for an exit at Kaizer Chiefs, the Siya crew has been given some insight into the challenge that some topflight clubs may be facing at this stage regarding the former Zimbabwean international.
The 32-year-old's contract with the Soweto giants is due to run out at the end of June and indications are that there is yet to be an agreement over a new deal between the attacker and the club.

While this publication understands that there are a few outfits monitoring the situation, it's understood that the big salary package the Zimbabwean is said to be on is scaring off some of the club bosses in the topflight.
According to information received by Soccer Laduma, the attacker is on a salary of over R500 000 and would probably need to consider taking a pay cut should he join another team in the PSL or else look at the option of making his last big deal in the Middle East, where it's believed that there could be interest in his services.

Indications from sources are that SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt would be interested in Billiat, having worked with him at Naturena, but that the financial aspect could be a challenge.
"What's difficult for a player like Billiat is that most teams will be scared of the salary package and sometimes that can scare clubs off," an informant told the crew.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man is expected to only be back on the field next season after suffering an injury and, at this stage, it's unclear if he will be playing his football in the PSL or abroad by that time.
