How Chiefs lost out to Usuthu's MDC star

Siya sources have revealed how Kaizer Chiefs lost an opportunity to sign AmaZulu youngster Msindisi Ndlovu.

Usuthu won the DStv Diski Challenge last season and Ndlovu was among the key players for the Durban-based side and sources have indicated that Amakhosi were keen on the midfielder. 

"Chiefs wanted Ndlovu during the Diski challenge. Coach Zwane is a big fan of the boy and has always been open about it, from the beginning of the season," an insider tells the Siya crew. 

"AmaZulu's Diski coaches knew about it and alerted the senior management. Soon after, the youngster was given an improved contract," the source reveals.  

Ndlovu is set to begin pre-season with Benni McCarthy's senior side this week and will be unveiled alongside new players in coming days.
