After a brief assessment period with Kaizer Chiefs, the Siya crew has been informed that striker Fuad Johnson looks set to find a new home in the Premier Soccer League.
The Siya crew reported earlier this month that the 19-year-old striker spent time training with Amakhosi's DStv Diski team following his exit from Stellenbosch FC, where he was the top scorer for the club's reserve side.
And the young striker was said to have impressed coach Vela Khumalo and his technical team.
However, in a shock twist of events, the Siya crew has learnt that Johnson has ended his training stint with Chiefs and is likely to put pen to paper with Motsepe Foundation Championship side, La Masia.
Johnson was spotted in a friendly for the club against Polokwane City on Friday.
Attempts by the Siya crew to get hold of the player's representative Ashley Rasool of Lion Sports proved futile at the time of publishing.
Johnson will join the likes of former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ayanda Rorwana who joined the newly-promoted outfit ahead of the 2022/23 season in the first Division.
