PSL Clubs Eye Ghanaian Scoring Sensation

Nations FC’s prolific striker, Faisal Charwetey, has emerged as the latest Ghanaian talent linked with a move to the Betway Premiership.

The 22-year-old forward has been in scintillating form during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, netting 11 goals and providing an assist in 27 appearances for the Abrankese-based club.

Charwetey’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with reports suggesting that several clubs in Mzansi are monitoring his progress.

His ability to find the back of the net consistently has made him a standout player in the Ghanaian top flight, and his potential move to the PSL would follow a growing trend of Ghanaian players making the switch to South Africa.

Despite narrowly missing out on selection for the CHAN qualifiers back home, Charwetey has maintained his form, contributing significantly to Nations FC’s campaign.

Stephen Amankona and Kwame Opoku are among other Ghanaian players currently linked with potential big moves to the Betway Premiership.

A network of agents based in both South Africa and Ghana are actively working to secure deals for the trio during the upcoming winter transfer window.

A source close to the discussions revealed, “All three players are firmly on the radar of top clubs in South Africa. With 10, 11, and 13 goals respectively, they’ve established themselves as some of the hottest prospects in the Ghanaian league right now.”
