It won't be much of a Merry Christmas at Maritzburg United, with the year coming to an end with confirmation of the club parting ways with club legend, Fadlu Davids.

The Team of Choice released a statement on their Twitter account, which reads:
"Maritzburg United can confirm that coach Fadlu Davids has left the club. We would like to thank Davids for his contribution to the club and wish him success in his future endeavors."
The club further stated that the they will announce the new head coach in due course.
"An announcement on a new head coach will be made in due time. Once again the club would like to reiterate it's commitment to the fans and it's stakeholders," the statement read.
