Following the shock decision of parting ways with Daine Klate, Chippa United is aiming to fast-track the process of appointing a new coach, the Siya crew has learnt.
Klate was relieved of his first team coaching duties at the Chilli Boys on Thursday, following the team's loss to defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Prior to promoting the Mzansi football legend in July from the reserve side, Chippa had former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp linked to the role.
According to sources, the name of the experienced German mentor has again come up at the Eastern Cape outfit, although the club's former coach Kurt Lentjies is believed to be one of the frontrunners for the role.

Another coach who is considered for the vacant role is Lehlohonolo Seema, who saved the Gqeberha-based club from relegation in 2020 and is currently unattached after parting ways with Golden Arrows in April.
Meanwhile, French-Moroccan Romain Folz is another option for the Chilli Boys, according to sources, after he recently parted ways with Marumo Gallants.
Football administrator Morgan Mammila is currently in charge as the caretaker coach of the bottom-placed side.
