Kaizer Chiefs are not giving up on finding a striker for the upcoming PSL campaign, and as the search continues, they are believed to have turned their attention to a player who had previously represented Bafana Bafana.
Siya sources have indicated that Amakhosi have inquired about 34-year-old striker Dino Ndlovu, who is a free agent after leaving Turkish club Sakaryaspor recently.

Insiders added that at the moment, there is nothing official in terms of an offer because there are other strikers that the club is looking at first, so it is likely that Ndlovu would be a backup option should coach Nasreddine Nabi not bring in the likes of Fiston Mayele.
"They haven't given up on signing a striker before the close of the current transfer window and even if they can't sign their priority targets then they are looking at other strikers and Dino Ndlovu is one of them. They have inquired about him and they are looking at the possibility of what could be the next move," said the Siya source.
"The main reason they are inquiring about him is that he has the required experience and also he is a free agent, which means negotiations would be much quicker and better. So, for now they are inquiring about him," the source added.

Meanwhile, a second source stated that if Chiefs' main targets are not secured then it will be between Golden Arrows' Lungelo Nguse or Ndlovu.
"They are looking at finalising the squad for the new season before September 20 and to do that the coach has requested that they have at least a striker and a winger and have 25 players in the squad so that he knows what he is working with. Since there is a challenge in getting Fiston Mayele, alternative options include Nguse and Dino Ndlovu, and they are working around the clock to see who they can get," the second source stated.
