Mzansi's Steven Pienaar has send an emotional 'thank you' video message to his former coach and mentor Cavin Johnson.
The clip was produced by BarclaysFootballTV and shows Schillo in tears while explaining how Johnson has helped him to become a star.
"I've always had a dream to play in the Barclays Premier League, but without coach Cavin Johnson I don't think I would have reached my potential," the Everton midfielder said.
"I grew up on the south side of Johannesburg in a township called Westbury. Single mother, two brothers, one sister - a very poor town.
"There were a lot of drive-by shootings going on, a lot of innocent people got shot. I was lucky I got spotted.
"He helped me develop, not only as a footballer but as a young person as well."
Pienaar moved to Ajax Amsterdam in 2001, a move orchestrated by Johnson, and the former Bafana Bafana midfielder recalled the day he heard about the contract offer.
"He (Johnson) gave me a call to come into the school. I didn't know what was happening and he said to me 'you are offered a three year contract with Ajax' and asked me if I had someone that can help me with the contract and stuff.
"I just said I want him to do it for me," added the 32-year-old moved to tears.
When asked what he would say to Johnson if he was in front of him right now, Schillo responded: "Hi coach Cavin, I would like to say for what you have done for me. You have always been a father figure.
"I followed your career. You know I am really proud at you and I wish you all the best. Thank you."
The video message was then shown to Johnson and the former SuperSport coach was seemingly touched by it
"We've both helped each other grow. I'm very proud of you - you've become a superstar," Johnson responded.
