Pitso Mosimane has once again been linked with the head coaching position at Egyptian giants Zamalek, with reports from multiple Egyptian outlets suggesting the 60-year-old is being considered as a potential successor to outgoing manager Jose Peseiro.

This is not the first time Mosimane’s name has been associated with the Cairo-based club.
Following his departure from rivals Al Ahly in 2022, he was reportedly approached by Zamalek. However, at the time, Mosimane opted against the move, out of respect for his successful spell with Al Ahly, where he lifted back-to-back CAF Champions League titles.
With Peseiro set to leave Zamalek at the end of the current campaign, the door appears to be open once more for Mosimane, who is currently unattached after a brief stint with Iranian side Esteghlal.
Mosimane remains one of the most highly respected coaches on the continent, and a move to Zamalek would mark a dramatic return to North African football.
