Percy Tau fast became a trending topic after it was confirmed that English Premier League side Brighton Hove Albion recalled the player from his loan stint with Anderlecht in Belgium.
The news was met with heaps of excitement from the South African faithful, perhaps none more than his former coaches Pitso Mosimane and Rulani Mokwena.

Mosimane and Mokwena joined in the scores of fans who took to social media to share their jubilation over the news that Tau would become the 15th South African to feature in the Premier League after Brighton confirmed they had secured a UK work permit for the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile for current Mamelodi Sundowns joint head coach, Mokwena, Tau's progression brought tears of joy for the young coach, who was left distraught after the untimely passing of Motjeka Madisha.
"God has such incredible timing... in one moment the pain of losing one engulfs and almost emotionally paralyzes you only to witness the success of the other which brings tears of joy and elation. This story is one that will inspire so many. We are proud of you Pessi," he added.

Meanwhile Tau has had his first Brighton training session under the watchful eye of Seagulls coach Graham Potter, who has given his thoughts on how long it will take Tau to settle in the Brighton setup.
"I think it will be quick, judging by what I saw today," told Brighton's media department.
"He's a nice personality and he fits in with the group well, and his attributes are quite easy to fit around, so I don't see a problem there. Obviously, there are other players in the team, so there's competition which is what you would expect in the Premier League but that's good for us, we need that healthy competition," Potter added.
