Tau has been handed the number 10 at the Red Devils for the 2023/24 season, similar to what he wears for the South African national team.
The 29-year-old certainly lived up to the billing that comes with the iconic number as he played a key role in his side's 4-0 win over Al Masry on Tuesday evening.
He opened his account in the 69th minute before doubling his tally just five minutes later.
Official stats show that the 'Lion of Judah' received a rating of 9 to be crowned the Man of the Match. On the night, Tau registered an 85% pass rate, created two chances from four shots and had a 100% shot accuracy.
The club will now turn their attention to the CAF Champions League, where they begin the defence of their title against Ethiopian outfit St George on Sunday.
