Five years after initially joining the club, Links will play just his second cup final in AGF colours and he played no small part in achieving that feat.

The 25-year-old midfielder proved to be the difference for his side as he managed to net a 92nd minute winner against Nordsjaelland to advance to the DBU Pokalen final.

They will take on Silkeborg on 9 May.

Having already won the Atlantic Cup with AGF in 2020, Links has now set his sights on a second cup final with the club.

"I was already tired and my energy was gone but when I stole the ball I just told myself, 'Okay let me go and try it' and I'm glad that I went because it paid off in the end, so yeah, I'm really happy and I'm proud of the fans because they came out here they waited 90 minutes before the game could kick off and I'm really proud of them and I say, they deserve it they can go home now and relax and some of them they can go and have a glass of wine or beer or whatever because they deserve it after such a long night," he told AGF's media department.

"It was around 90 something minutes and it was still 0-0 so that was still good for us so but I'm glad that we managed to score the goal and killed the game so that was important obviously to finish the game.

"It's a great feeling because we've lost two semifinals before, now I'm really happy that we managed to go through to the final. I can't wait to play the final," he said.
