Lebo Mothiba Has Agreed A New Contract At Lille

The immediate future of young South African forward, Lebo Mothiba, remains unclear, with Lille still looking to negotiate his return to the club this month. It was recently reported by the Siya crew that the Ligue 1 outfit was looking to recall the 22-year-old from his loan at Valenciennes in order to bolster their attack for the second half of the season, however that has not been possible up until now. However, there is good news for the striker, with Siya sources revealing that he has agreed a new, improved contract for himself at the top flight outfit that will see him extend his stay past 2019 into 2021. It remains to be seen whether Lille will be able to negotiate his release from Valenciennes before the transfer window closes this week, although as things stand, the chances are looking slim. The Ligue 2 club will only consider letting Mothiba return to Lille if they can find a suitable replacement in time.
