Kermit Erasmus' RC Lens Are Chasing The Ligue 2 Title

South African striker, Kermit Erasmus, is expected back in training on Wednesday as RC Lens prepare for five huge games at the end of their season.   Read: South African Duo Secure French Moves   The 26-year-old hasn't played for the French title-chasers since the start of the month after picking up an injury, missing two games as they dropped down to third place and out of the automatic promotion spots.   However, Erasmus should be available to head coach, Alain Casanova, when they go into a crunch clash with Le Havre on Monday, with a win potentially sending them back up to second as they chase promotion back to the top-flight.
It's currently Brest leading the pack on 59 points after 33 games, with Strasbourg (56) sitting in second and Lens trying to catch up with 55 from the same number of matches.   Casanova has confirmed that the Bafana Bafana striker, who has played seven league games since his arrival from Stade Rennais on loan, will be back in training on Wednesday. He will be eager to try and get himself fit again so that he can help his side push for the promotion that their fans feel they deserve.
