Pitso Mosimane may not have had the opportunity to coach Kaizer Chiefs just yet but the experienced mentor is creating coaches that will one day be able to take over at the Glamour Boys because of his Soccer Schools Programme.

While his future is being mulled over and rigorously discussed, Mosimane has taken a hands-on approach to his Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS) project which is in its second year of existence.
Having started out with two schools in partnership with Curro Holdings, the venture has seen 10 more schools adopt the programme to make it 12 schools in total, and counting.
But it's not only footballers that are being honed by Mosimane's programme.
The coach has stated his vision to equip aspiring coaches with the necessary skills and a solid platform to be able to progress and coach the likes of Kaizer Chiefs in future.
"I've got 50 coaches now and I've got ex-players. I've got Tlou Molekwane who was playing for Kaizer Chiefs, he's heading up my program in Polokwane and I hope to recruit more of the ex-players who are not playing now, you know, and some want to be coaches," Mosimane told the Siya crew at the Curro Meridian Holdings in Cosmo City.
"Start here, learn, start here and now you can go to Chiefs and be the coach of MDC [DStv Diski Challenge] or the u17s. So, I wish the boys can come here after they retire. This is the place, make your name here and go to Chiefs, go to Pirates and you might end up being a Rulani [Mokwena]. You might end up being whoever has gone through the youth programs, you know. Arthur Zwane is there. So, I hope the ex-players can come to this program and work in the program.
"Okay, we won't pay them like what other teams are paying, but we will give them stipends. We do pay our coaches, you know, and by the way, if you want to learn and you want to get experience, it's sort of like volunteering, but you're getting paid, so they can start here and maybe a certain guy was scoring goals for Kaizer Chiefs, then he can go back to say, 'hey, remember I was your player? But I'm a good coach now. I've qualified. I've got a CAF license and I've done my 10,000 hours with the programme of coach Pitso, and I've played against you. So now I want to be the coach'.'
"So we also create employment for the coaches, for my ex-players. I'm just a football coach, you know. I'm not the guy who builds libraries and all that with my foundation, I put it where I know I can direct it and test it," he continued.
