Genk and Bafana Bafana defender, Anele Ngcongca, has extended his contract with the Belgium Pro League side. The player's future has been in doubt since the news of interest in his services emerged.
The right back has been linked with a move to clubs in Germany and Turkey in recent times.
Ngcongca's representatives from Prosport International tweeted that the Cape Town-born player had signed a new contract with the Belgian side he has been with since 2007.
Prosport International tweeted, "Anele Ngcongca has extended his stay with Genk until 2018."
Ngcongca is expected to help the Belgian outfit in their attempt to achieve success in the new season. The Cape Town-born player is one of the experienced players for Bafana.
