A star-studded event took place at Montecasino on Wednesday evening as some of South Africa's most celebrated footballing legends were inducted into the prestigious South African Football Hall of Fame.
The ceremony celebrated the remarkable careers of seven individuals who have made significant contributions to the sport in the country, leaving an indelible mark both on and off the field.
Among the honorees were Jomo Sono, Lucas Radebe, Ace Ntsoelengoe, Neil Tovey, Shakes Mashaba, Desiree Ellis, and Teenage Dladla. Each of these individuals has played a pivotal role in shaping South African football, both domestically and internationally.

Jomo Sono
Known as "The Black Prince," Jomo Sono is regarded as one of South Africa's greatest footballers and is a pioneer who revolutionized the game. Sono's footballing career spanned decades, playing both for South Africa and in various leagues abroad.
