Speaking to the Siya crew, former Pirates striker James Mothibi lauded Riveiro for his progress.
"Jose Riveiro is one of the best coaches to have coached Pirates. I said it from the beginning when people were making noise about his appointment that we should give the coach a chance to see what he can do. He doesn't talk too much and he believes in hard work. Under him, you can see that Pirates are like a well-oiled machine and is going far in terms of what is going to be achieved this season. Against Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8, I predicted a 3-1 win and that's exactly what happened. I predicted that the team will go to the group stages in the Champions League, and that has been achieved," said Mothibi.
