Just a few months ago, Mofokeng was a budding player at the School of Excellence, looking up to the Pirates number three.
Fast forward to a year later and the teenager has found himself sharing the pitch with his idol and even stepping into his role in the instances when Lorch was injured.
When Pirates won the MTN8 for a second time in two seasons, Lorch stated that Mofokeng would be the one to take over his place at Pirates in future.
Now, Rele has revealed what it's like to share the pitch with his idol.
"At first, it was like a dream, but then I got used to it," he told journalists at the PSL's Player Transition Programme in Sandton.
"I saw what he does and sometimes I'd go with him and ask him questions – but now it's real. I can feel it, I see him every day so it's my everyday life now and I look up to him."
The silky attacker also revealed his optimism about a possible move overseas, having recently undergone a trial with Premier League outfit, Wolves.
