Maswanganyi: We Don't Worry How Many Goals They Score

Red hot Orlando Pirates are demonstrating why they are a force to be reckoned with, particularly at the climax of seasons under Jose Riveiro, and in form star Patrick Maswanganyi discusses their never-say-die attitude.

'Tito' picked up the Pirates Player of the Month award on Monday and has been the success story for the club in this campaign.

On Saturday, Bucs came from behind to beat AmaZulu 4-2 to reach the Nedbank Cup semi-finals, in a season where they have already lifted the MTN8 Cup.

"I think with the qualities we have, we don't have to worry about how many goals the opposition scores. I think it's all about us being able to come back from the mistakes we make," Maswanganyi told Pirates media.

The 26-year-old netted twice against Usuthu in a thrill-a-minute contest in Durban over the weekend and has bagged eight goals and eight assists from 32 appearances in all competitions so far.

"I think we are very positive coming into that space and we know that even if we go a goal down or two goals down that we are capable to score more than one goal.

"So, we are very happy coming back to win the game 4-2 and I think it was a positive result for us," Maswanganyi said.

Round two of the showdown between the Buccaneers and Usuthu takes place on Saturday in the DStv Premiership in Soweto, with 'Tito' surely looking to cause more damage for the KwaZulu-Natal club.
