Oupa Manyisa Has Made An Incredible Commitment To The Daughter Of A Fan
Mamelodi Sundowns' Oupa Manyisa may not be donning the black of Orlando Pirates anymore, but he has made an incredible pledge to support the family of one of his biggest fans.   Read: Breaking - City Land Surprise Signing, Details Revealed   Masello Thamaga, who coined the nickname 'Manyisa My Iniesta' for the former Buccaneer during his time with the club, sadly passed away earlier this year, and 'Ace' at the time said a sad goodbye to her via his own social media channels.    Now, a few months later, the 30-year-old has decided to take things a step further, offering to pay her daughter's school fees in order to pay her back for her unwavering support of him during his career.    Manyisa's manager, Alex Shahim, supplied a message from the Masandawana star that read, "As footballers, we are often judged as a person based on how we play/perform. The pressure is a lot, but then you come across people like Masello Thamaga and they give you a whole new perspective - whether you play well or badly they are always there supporting screaming your name from the bottom of their heart.    Read: Downs Jet Out, Delayed Touchdown In Cairo   "She gave me the name "Manyisa My Iniesta" during my time at Pirates. She never missed a game and had my jersey every time even after I left the club. My manager Alex called to tell me she had passed away and that she left behind a daughter who is still in school and doing really well.   "We decided that we want to support the family where we can, and assist her with her school fees. I have been blessed in my life and whenever there is a chance to give back I try my best to do that. There is more to life than football and I hope that the supporters out there remember that we try our best every time we set foot on the pitch."   Manyisa last night jetted out to Egypt with his Sundowns teammates as they look to finish the job against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League after winning 5-0 in the home leg over the weekend.    Watch: SLTV: 'Africa Must Know The Name Sundowns'
