Orlando Pirates look set to make a decision on one of the team's defenders, as part of the club's preparations for next season.
Having sent Justice Chabalala on loan to Sekhukhune United in August 2021, the Buccaneers are set to conclude whether the centre-back will form part of the squad for the 2022/23 season.
As confirmed by sources in the know, Bucs had plans to bring the 30-year-old back on board at the club in January, but a decision was later made that the former Free State Stars player would remain with Babina Noko.
This come on the back of the Soweto giants extending the contract of club captain Happy Jele to the end of next season.
After struggling for game-time at Sekhukhune, Chabalala made great strides in improving his form, with four starts for the side in the last five fixtures.
Chabalala was signed by Pirates in 2016 from Ea Lla Koto and although the Giyani-born player has struggled for minutes at the club, has been put on loan on four occasions. The defender has spent time at Chippa United, Bloemfontein Celtic and Sekhukhune respectively.
As confirmed by sources, the player's future is yet to be decided, with his contract coming to an end in June.
