Orlando Pirates have provided an update on defender Thabiso Sesane, who has been on the sidelines after picking up a knock last season.
The Buccaneers confirmed on their official website that Sesane, along with Selaelo Rasebotja, is still on the recovery list as the club continues to navigate a demanding start to the new campaign.

Pirates wrote, “The Soweto Giants have the personnel capable enough to do so, as demonstrated by the likes of Sihle Nduli and Lebone Seema, who have stepped up amid injuries to cult heroes such as Nkosinathi Sibisi and Makhehleni Makhaula, while the players such as Thabiso Sesane and Selaelo Rasebotja also continue to recover after suffering knocks during the latter half of the previous campaign.”
The update comes as Bucs prepare for another tough assignment in the Betway Premiership, with Stellenbosch set to visit Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening.
It has been a busy schedule for the Sea Robbers, who will be taking to the field for the fifth time in just over three weeks.
After a slow start in the league, the Soweto giants are still searching for their first points of the season and will be desperate to turn things around on home soil.
Stellies, who have also had a packed schedule, are in a similar position as they too find themselves lower down the standings than they would have hoped at this stage.

Both clubs, however, have fared better in cup competition and will now be pushing to carry that momentum into the league.
The clash at Orlando Stadium promises to be a crucial battle for points to move from the bottom half of the table, with Pirates continuing to balance their squad while waiting on key players such as Sesane to return from injury.
