Pirates Provide Injury Update On Tito & Six Players

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that key players Patrick Maswanganyi and Sipho Chaine will be unavailable for their crucial Betway Premiership encounter against Chippa United. Chaine, a former Chilli Boys goalkeeper, is suspended after picking up his fourth yellow card in the Buccaneers' recent defeat to Marumo Gallants.

Maswanganyi, who missed the Gallants match, remains in rehabilitation after sustaining a grade one strain in Pirates' 2-1 win over Cape Town City.

The club's medical team continues to monitor his progress.

Meanwhile, Miguel Timm (ankle) is undergoing field rehabilitation and physiotherapy, with a return expected in 7-14 days, as confirmed by the club.

Thabiso Monyane (hamstring) has begun field-based rehab, focusing on agility and endurance, with high-speed running scheduled for next week.

Zakhele Lepasa (ankle) has started training with the strength and conditioning team.

Defender Olisa Ndah (shin) has completed his rehabilitation and is back in full training, currently working on match fitness.

Thabiso Lebitso (ankle) and Thabiso Sesane (Achilles) are both recovering from recent surgeries and are undergoing physiotherapy for acute management.

Pirates will be hoping for quick recoveries as they push for a strong finish in the league campaign.  

"Tito sustained a grade one strain in our match against Cape Town City. We will continue to monitor his situation and provide the technical team daily updates on his progress," reads the report, as per Pirates' official website.

The Bucs medical department has also provided updates on the rest of the squad players:  

Miguel Timm (Ankle)

Currently undergoing on-field rehabilitation work while also attending physiotherapy sessions. He is expected to return to full training in 7-14 days.  

Thabiso Monyane (Hamstring)

Has started field-based rehabilitation with emphasis on agility, aerobic endurance and accelerations and decelerations. To start high-speed running next week.  

Zakhele Lepasa (Ankle)

Has started field-based training with the strength and conditioning team.  

Olisa Ndah (Shin)

Has completed his rehabilitation and has returned to full training. Currently on working on his match fitness.  

Thabiso Lebitso (Ankle)

Continues to undergo treatment post-surgery. Attending Physiotherapy sessions for acute management.  

Thabiso Sesane (Achillies)

Like Lebitso, Sesane also underwent a successful procedure and is currently undergoing treatment while attending Physiotherapy sessions for acute management
