In their pursuit of quality players to add to their attack for the 2022/23 season, Orlando Pirates could be set to go to Nigeria to invite one or two players for assessment.
With the likes of leading forwards Gabadinho Mhango and Tshegofatso Mabasa believed to be facing uncertain future with the Buccaneers, the club is in search of strikers to add to next season's squad.
Following their CAF Confederation Cup final that was played in Nigeria last Friday, indications are that Bucs are keen to continue their good relationship in that country by offering opportunities to one or two more players from there, having done so this season when they signed Olisa Ndah from Akwa United.
Indications from sources are that talented youngsters Daniel Dioh and Jesse Francis could be some of the players targeted by the Soweto giants, though a decision on players to be contacted for possible signing is expected to be made at the end of the season.
The two players were in Mzansi in January and trained with Mamelodi Sundowns although the Chloorkop outfit could not sign them at the time due to the club's foreign quota that had already been exhausted.
While the Brazilians are keen to have the duo back for further assessment after they impressed during their initial trial, indications are that Bucs could look to also have them on assessment as part of their plans for next season, according to sources.
