Pirates To Up Their Pursuit In Exciting PSL Midfielder?

Pirates To Up Their Pursuit In Exciting PSL Midfielder?

With Orlando Pirates understood to be keen on securing the services of Sinoxolo Kwayiba, the highly-rated midfielder currently shining for Chippa United, the Soweto giants could be moving closer to securing his signature.

The Buccaneers have been closely monitoring Kwayiba's progress, and his recent performances have only intensified their interest.

Kwayiba has been in scintillating form this season, recently netting a brace against Magesi FC, further underlining his attacking prowess from midfield.

His contributions on the field have not gone unnoticed, and his growing influence has also earned him a spot in Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana setup.

With the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to take place in Morocco later this year, Kwayiba has a strong chance of making the national squad, further boosting his stock in the transfer market.

His former coach at Chippa, Kwanele Kopo, has been vocal about Kwayiba's potential, believing that he possesses the attributes to play overseas.

This sentiment highlights the level of talent Pirates would be acquiring if they successfully secure his signature.

However, the Soweto giants may need to act swiftly to land their target.

Other PSL heavyweights, including Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, are also reportedly keeping tabs on Kwayiba.

With competition heating up, Pirates must move decisively if they are to bolster their midfield with one of Mzansi's most exciting talents.

"He (Kwayiba) is a player that has impressed a lot and expect Pirates to make a move for him in the next transfer window," said the source.

If Pirates succeed in their pursuit, Kwayiba could provide a significant boost to their squad, adding creativity, energy, and goal-scoring ability to their midfield as they continue their domestic and continental ambitions.
