The seemingly lack of input of Orlando Pirates management to head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has come under question following revelations by club legend Lucky Lekgwathi.
Pirates management have in the past being accused of interfering with previous coaches, when it comes to the team selections.

However, the Buccaneers head honchos do not appear to have been involved with Ouaddou's team selection, who has surprisingly left out a number of regular players from the team that was used to winning under former coach Jose Riveiro.
Even Pirates supporters were expecting to see the Moroccan coach building on from Riveiro's solid foundation but the exclusion of the likes of Evidence Makgopa, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Thalente Mbatha, Tapelo Xoki have been shocking, at the expense of new signings.
Wisdom could have triggered the Buccaneers management to intervene and show by experience how successful sides made it at the club by not fixing it when it is not broken.
As Lekgwathi drew from the same experience during his time at Pirates.
"My experience with us after winning treble, the Chairman (Dr. Irvin Khoza) went out to sign new players, he didn't say I'll continue with the same team, he beefed up, not with the so called small players," Lekgwathi said on TimesLIVE Video YouTube Channel.
"He went to sign (Siyabonga) Sangweni, Benni McCarthy, Tokelo Rantie, (Rudolf) Bester, Thabo Matlaba. Guess what, our first game we introduced one player, Siya Sangweni, obviously that one is well deserved.

"They had to sacrifice between me and Rooi (Mahamutsa). The coach was not sure but he went with experience, we won MTN8 and after that they introduced who? Benni, (only after MTN8). You see, you must introduce players gradually. We don't have to rush (new signings), you put them under the bus, they are gone," the former Pirates skipper added.
Against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final first-leg, wisdom is expected to prevail, even coming from the Pirates management, for the return of the tried and tested.
