The 31-year-old has been with the Buccaneers since 2016, having joined from Mpumalanga Black Aces. The shot-stopper made six appearances in total in the domestic competitions for Bucs, including during the Telkom Knockout semi-final win against Kaizer Chiefs in November, while he also contributed with his involvement in the CAF Champions League.
As reported by the Siya crew, the player's agent Jazzman Mahlakgane confirmed that he is in talks with at least two clubs about the shot-stopper in preparation of his next move.
Meanwhile, Mabokgwane took to social media to say goodbye to the 'Pirates family' in an emotional message.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Orlando Pirates family for an amazing journey and the time I spent as part of the family. I'll forever cherish the memories. Thanks for all the love and support. Wish you the best of luck," tweeted the goalkeeper.
