An Orlando Pirates legend has questioned the big clubs in the Absa Premiership for buying players after every season.
With the Buccaneers linked with a number of players again, including the Bidvest Wits duo of Thulani Hlatshwayo and Deon Hotto as well as the pair of Rushine De Reuck and Richard Ofori from Marizburg United, ex-goalkeeper Innocent Mayoyo is concerned about the changes that Josef Zinnbauer might have to make in selecting his line-ups next season.
Mayoyo is a big fan of youth development and would like to see the big clubs promoting young players from their junior teams.
"How many players are going to be sacrificed by Orlando Pirates (if new players are signed)? Some of the players in the current team were signed not long ago but haven't played regularly. Every year the big clubs sign new players. When is the coach going to have consistency for something three years, for example?" asked Mayoyo.
Goalkeeper Brandon Peterson and former Maritzburg defender Siyanda Xulu are some of the other players that have been linked with the Buccaneers.
