Ea Lla Koto secured their spot final of the competition following a 2-0 win over the Soweto giants on Saturday.
Ngobeni, who like last season when the two sides met in the Telkom Knockout semi-final, was instrumental in their plight, credited his teammates for the triumph.
"I would like to thank my teammates. They put in a great effort. Personally, I'm also happy we did well as a team. I also had to focus on my game as much as they did well I also had to focus on my game," Ngobeni told SuperSport after the game.
"We stuck to the plan and it worked well. Most importantly, we scored early goals and it worked for us because they were coming hard after that, but we managed to try and control the game after that.
"Playing against a team of Kaizer Chiefs calibre was never going to be easy, but more importantly we're happy going to the final after so many years.
"I'm also proud to be part of the team that made it to the final. For now, we obviously have to focus on the league and cup final," he said.
