Zuma enjoyed a fruitful career in the PSL and abroad during his playing days and spent a season with Stellenbosch (previously known as Vasco Da Gama) while they were playing in the Absa Premiership. Looking ahead to tonight's game, Zuma explained how difficult it will be for Stellenbosch to come away with a win, but that an upset is possible.
"I think it's going to be a very tough game for them (Stellenbosch), because Chiefs are a very good side at the moment," he said. "But it's my old club and I think they could spring a surprise."
Zuma's Vasco Da Gama managed to get a win and a draw in two league encounters during Zuma's time with the club in the 2010/11 season and he has revealed the secret to how they managed to get those results.
"To beat a team like Kaizer Chiefs or (Orlando) Pirates, you really need to up your game," he continued. "We beat Chiefs before, when I was there, so my advice to the team would be, "if you want to win this game, you need to work harder than them. You need to defend as a team, because you know that Kaizer Chiefs are a team that likes to attack the ball and will take any chance they can.
"We put everyone behind the ball and tried to catch them on the counter."
