Nedbank Cup Starting XI: Santos v Free State Stars 02 April 2016

Nedbank Cup

Teams:  Santos v Free State tars

Date:  02 April 2016

Venue:  Athlone Stadium

Free State Stars will need to be alert when they travel to Athlone Stadium where they will come face-to-face with National First Division outfit, Santos, in a Nedbank Cup last 16 clash on Saturday evening.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h15.

The visitors were a solid unit in their 2-1 ousting of Ajax Cape Town in the same venue in the previous round of Nedbank Cup fixtures, so Santos will need to be on song if they plan on causing problems for the Free State side.

Ayanda Nkosi was the hero in the last clash at Athlone Stadium and the Cape side will be aware of the threat the youngster poses. Zeca Marques's charges are still in the tournament because they too managed to claim a slender 1-0 victory over fellow NFD outfit, Mthatha Bucks.

The hosts do however go into this clash as the underdogs, and will be determined to cause an upset, especially with Marques being the man in the driver's seat.

Ea Lla Koto will miss their influential captain Paulus Masehe through suspension, while Santos's Justin Dawood will also watch the match from the sidelines due to suspension as well.

Here is how they line up:

Santos:  Goldman, Derra, Sigwebela, Skippers, Rayners, van Rooyen, Paro, T Arendse, Saal, Lark, Johnson.

FS Stars:  Mathole, Mbhele, Vilkazi, Kerspuy, Makhaula, Chabalala, Jaftha, Nkosi, Mohomi, Mashego, Venter.
