AmaZayoni nearly broke the deadlock after three minutes but Ronwen Williams produced a fine save to turn Judas Moseamedi's shot out for a corner.

From the resulting corner, Aces took the lead thanks to a towering header from Moseamedi that left Williams with no chance.

SuperSport had a couple chances to hit back but Dove Wome failed to beat Shu-Aib Walters from close range, before Bradley Grobler directed his header straight at the Aces goalkeeper in the 15th minute.

Stuart Baxter's charges were then dealt a blow after 30 minutes when Sibusiso Khumalo picked up a knock and had to be replaced by Thato Mokeke.

Walters had to be at his best in the 33rd minute, as the veteran shot-stopper produced a stunning save to keep out Grobler's header.

SuperSport ended the first half on a stronger note, but the score remained 1-0 to the visitors at the break.

Aces should have doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute, as Aubrey Ngoma did well to pick out an un-marked Collins Mbesuma, who failed to beat Williams from point-blank range.

The visitors were made to rue that miss in the 68th minute as Wome floated the ball to the far post, where substitute Jeremy Brockie was on hand to head home the equaliser, 1-1.

SuperSport started to dictate play after the equaliser but had to wait until the 82nd minute for the next chance, as Wome's curling effort sailed inches wide of the upright.

The hosts then took the lead in the 90th minute when Thuso Phala's close range effort deflected in off Grobler, as SuperSport secured their spot in the last four of the competition.
