The former Bafana Bafana coach highlighted the Buccaneers' desire to lift a trophy this season as a major factor going into the encounter, which will take place on Saturday, 23rd of April at 20h15 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
"Orlando Pirates will go there thinking it is their last chance to get themselves some silverware. They look quite determined at the present moment. They are playing really well and are scoring goals."
Eric Tinkler's side has come across tougher opposition on route to the quarter-final, defeating Kaizer Chiefs and Jomo Cosmos 2-0 and 3-1 respectively, compared to Pitso Mosimane's side, who defeated two NFD based outfits in Highlands Park (1-0) and Mbombela United (3-1).
The four-time PSL winning coach also made mention of the Chloorkop based outfit's form in all competitions this season, which thus far has been outstanding.
"And then there is Sundowns…. They have been playing very well the whole season. They have been consistent and they're playing at home, so it is going to be a big game."
"I think it is going to be a game of goals, because both teams are playing really well," he said.
The Brazilians have lost only five games in 36 fixtures played across all competitions since their MTN8 loss against Bloemfontein Celtic in August, 2015.
