Best:
Thela Ngobeni: 8/10
Ngobeni made top-notch saves throughout the match to ensure Stars kept Chiefs at bay. He was deservedly named Man of the Match.
Harris Tchilimbou: 7.5/10
The Congolese striker showed his quality by scoring two crucial goals for Stars in the first half. He gave the Chiefs defence a tough time throughout the clash.
Paulus Masehe: 7,5/10
Masehe was influential in the defensive organisation of the team and carried Stars with his tireless stamina just in front of the back four.
Nyiko Mobbie: 7/10
Mobbie was not afraid to make overlapping runs and provided the assist for the first goal by Tchilimbou. He also kept Chiefs dangerman Siphiwe Tshabalala quiet in the second half.
Sinethemba Jantjie: 7/10
Jantjie was a real livewire for Stars in the attack. His pace stretched the Chiefs defence at times. He was unlucky not score on a couple occasions.
Patrick Phungwayo: 7/10
Similarly to Mobbie, Phungwayo was a real live-wire on the flank on both ends of the both. He also bagged the assist for Stars' second goal.
Worst:
Eric Mathoho: 4/10
Mathoho could not get his tackles right. He was also beaten in the air on numerous occasions, while the communication with Cardoso is clearly not there.
Daniel Cardoso: 4/10
Cardoso's lack of communication was costly, and it was evident for the second goal as Tchilimbou was allowed to sneak in score the second goal.
Philani Zulu: 4/10
Zulu was unfortunate to substituted in the first half, but he hardly had any impact going forward on the left.
Tsepo Masilela: 4/10
It seems like Masilela was rushed into action to give the Chiefs defence some seniority, and he was not up to his usual standard and he was eventually substituted at the start of the second half.
