Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande has admitted to the past campaign being an embarrassing one for the club.
Chiefs ended off at ninth placed on the league standings also losing the Nedbank Cup final to TS Galaxy.
However, Amakhosi will soon be challenging for a pre-season trophy come July, with Chiefs and Orlando Pirates scheduled to lock horns in the Carling Black Label Cup which has since made its return after being cancelled last year.

"The season wasn't good, and it is quite embarrassing to be honest, wherever we go, people are laughing at us but we take the criticism and turn it in to positives for next season so that we can work hard," Katsande said.
"Sometimes criticism can make you a better person and I am sure we are going to sharpen our swords and come back stronger and try to avoid being a laughing stock.
"This is more than an easy game, we are coming back from (the) off-season and we need to check our fitness and combinations and you know the history of this two clubs, there is no friendly match, it is always competitive, we always treat it with respect and give our best," he added.
