Banyana will come up against China, Spain and Germany in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Speaking to the media, Ellis explained what her side's approach will be, heading into the tournament and coming up against European sides.
"We haven't had a chance because we have a game against Norway, obviously you analyse the opposition and make no mistake, the analyse you.
"Obviously, we have a plan A and a plan B and a plan C, but we have to be true to who we are, we are never going to be able to compete physically so we have to be true to who we are.
"We showed what we are capable of at AFCON and hopefully we can transcend that on to the pitch, but the game situation, what happens in the game decides how you continue with the game," she added.
