SuperSport United team captain, Dean Furman thinks that the team had a good run of form in the Absa Premiership despite the circumstances that they endured.
Matsatsantsa didn't finish off their campaign as expected by the club, having suffered a 2-0 loss to Highlands Park in the final Absa Premiership game of the season.

However, prior to the game, Furman gave his thoughts on the league campaign, saying that they have shown that they are capable of challenging with the 'big boys'.
"I think that its been a good season overall, when we started off the season, we got to the MTN8 final, we beat Pirates and Chiefs on the way, so it gave us some confidence to say that we really can mix it with the big boys," Furman told the media.
"If you look at our form overall, we've beaten Sundowns which we haven't done for a very long time, we took four points off Wits, we beat Pirates, so there is a lot of confidence to know that we can mix it with the big boys.
"But, we have let ourselves down in certain stages of the season, I think the middle third, we had a lot of injuries, the squad depth was tested to the limit.
"But we had an outside chance to even sneak in to the title race. The good thing is that we've competed, overall given the circumstances we can be proud of our league form this season but it's nothing to go celebrating about," he added.
