Dean Furman has spoken about what it means to him that South Africa is part of the Africa Cup Of Nations competition.
Bafana Bafana will jet off to Egypt next month as they prepare for the biggest African tournament, this after successfully qualifying for the tournament after beating Libya in their final game.
Speaking to the media, Furman opened up about what it would mean to him as an individual player to receive a call-up to represent South Africa in the upcoming AFCON tournament.

"It's an exciting time to be involved with the national team and I think everyone is waiting for that squad announcement and no one has taken their position for granted because there's so much competition and there's so many good and key players who are doing well and have had good seasons," Furman told the media.
"I think what everyone needs to do is go away and have a little rest and if the call comes, (they're) ready to hit the ground running and what an exciting time to be a South African footballer.
"It would be incredibly special, I've been to two AFCONs and they're amazing. The one here in particular was absolutely incredible, almost like my taste of the World Cup because I wasn't in the World Cup squad so it was unbelievable.
It would be an amazing achievement to be in that squad and that's what (myself) and everyone else is pushing for at the moment," he added.
