Orlando Pirates head coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, says his side were punished for a lapse in concentration in their 1-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 Final. Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite scored the only goal of the game with an unchallenged header, after some poor defending from the Pirates defence but the Serbian insists his side tried very hard. "First of all I would like to congratulate Kaizer Chiefs for the win and also our guys for the second half, we tried, we pushed very hard but we couldn't score," Vermezovic said after the game. "We conceded a goal from a set-piece, we knew that they are very dangerous from set-pieces, but it was a bad reaction from our defence, the only one in 90 minutes and we were paid very expensivley." "We pushed, in the second half we even tried two strikers, with a very offensive formation but we couldn't score thanks to their goalkeeper, who was amazing today and life is going, the show must go on."
