Thulani Hlatshwayo Looking Forward To Bidvest Wits Career

Thulani Hlatshwayo Looking Forward To Bidvest Wits Career

Bidvest Wits' new signing, Thulani Hlatshwayo, says that he's excited to get going for the Clever Boys, and thinks that they can challenge for honours this season.

The defender joined The Sudents this season after agreeing to a contract earlier this year due to the expiration of his deal with Ajax Cape Town.

With the possibility of him making his competitive debut in this weekend's MTN8, 'Tyson' says that they're looking forward to facing Bloemfontein Celtic.

Speaking to the media, Hlatshwayo said, "We want to win cups this season, starting with the MTN8 and going into the league. We played Celtic in the Charity Showdown, we know what kind of team they are and we're looking forward to playing against them."

Meanwhile, the defender also said that it was sad to leave Ajax, but that he's now looking forward to a new challenge. He added, "It was difficult to leave Ajax, they made me the guy I am today, but I felt like I needed a new change, a new challenge. I wanted to see how far I could go.

"I'm here to help the team and help them improve on last year's position. We have a competitive team and I really think that we can challenge for honours this season."
