The two Soweto Giants lock horns on Saturday evening at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, with the winner going on to lift the MTN8 trophy.

With both sides in fine form at present, Chiefs winning their last 11 games and Pirates losing just one in their last 16, the stage is set for an exciting match-up in KwaZulu Natal, with Baxter saying that preparation is as much a mental challenge as a physical one.

Speaking to the media today, Baxter said, "We've been trying to resist the temptation of getting onto the final too soon, and maybe both teams have had a bit of a problem doing it, but we've passed the weekend's games and are now preparing for the final.

"It's going to be very similar to our normal preparations, there won't be much different, but you're always conscious of the space the players are in. Are they switched on too soon? Are they relaxed enough in training? Do they know the game plan? It's about working on where they are mentally.

"Pirates are in good shape right now, as are we, and I think it'll be an interesting game. Derbies have their own little life and form doesn't really play a big part. But we know Pirates play high energy, as do we, and both teams want to play. If both teams play to their potential then the fans will be in for a really good evening."
