The Siya crew spoke to the diminutive Orlando Pirates legend to catch his thoughts ahead of the titular encounter between the two Soweto giants in the MTN8 Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.
"This match is about the history and tradition of South African football. In our day you never saw the Chairman. The only time you would meet him was a day before the derby," said Dungi.
"Yes it may be that it's a final and that there's money up for grabs, but it's not about money, it's about pride, and history and the bragging rights."
"You see teams change and evolve however tradition remains the same."
"Looking at this match consistency is with Chiefs but there is a lot of underlying factors to take into consideration."
"The fact that Chiefs are without their first choice keeper could be a possible hindrance for them, but when I look at the Pirates midfield I see strength and versatility there. There is power in that team and if they can link up with the defence, Pirates will be very strong."
