News reaching the Siya crew is that Itumeleng Khune is on the bench for Kaizer Chiefs this evening as Chiefs take on Maritzburg United in the MTN8 quarter-finals.
Following social media posts made by the player, it seemed that Khune was likely to be included in the match day squad, and that was confirmed when the teams were announced.
This follows last week's news that Khune had agreed to return to the club, after spending a month as a free agent.
With Brilliant Khuzwayo out through injury, Khune and Reyaad Pieterse are expected to be the goalkeepers in today's match squad, with Pieterse set to start.
